Use the review without losing your meaning
Four steps from a pasted draft to the version you say.
- Paste the script, choose the language and review categories, then analyze it.
- Check highlighted spans in context. A long sentence might need a pause; a hedge might be needed for accuracy.
- Create an editable copy if you want to revise. The tool never applies deletions automatically.
- Copy or download the version you intend to say, then time a full read.
What the numbers mean
The public formulas and counting rules behind each result.
- Flesch Reading Ease
- 206.835 − 1.015 × words/sentences − 84.6 × syllables/words
- Flesch-Kincaid grade
- 0.39 × words/sentences + 11.8 × syllables/words − 15.59
The syllable count here is an English spelling heuristic, not a pronunciation dictionary. Raw values are shown without forcing them into a score band.
Microsoft's readability statistics guide explains the same public formulas and their language dependence. This tool uses its own approximate syllable and sentence counts, so its results can differ from a word processor.
Character counts use Unicode graphemes in current browsers and clearly labeled code points as a fallback. Sentence boundaries use the browser’s English segmenter, with a punctuation-based fallback. Long-passage flags use more than 120 words without a blank-paragraph break. Phrase rules match complete tokens; written fillers do not reveal how you sound on camera.
Questions about this tool
Short answers about what the tool does, what it leaves out and where your data goes.
Does this measure speaking confidence or quality?
No. It counts text and applies visible rules. Long sentences, repeated words, matched phrases and possible passive constructions are prompts for your review, not scientific confidence or delivery scores.
Are the readability estimates exact?
No. The public Flesch formulas use an approximate English syllable count and sentence boundaries. Names, abbreviations and short samples can distort them. At least 40 words are needed, and non-English text should use counts-only mode.
Will it remove fillers or hedging automatically?
No. Your original is untouched. Hedging can express necessary uncertainty, and a matched written phrase may be intentional. Edit a separate copy when you choose, then rehearse it aloud.
